"Only You," which will be released on Thursday, is a remake of the 1994 movie that featured Robert Downey Jr. It is the Chinese version of the movie in which Tang Wei, who married to a Korean movie director in real life last August, plays the main character amid the geographical background of Italy.

In the movie, Pang Yuan (Tang Wei), who is about to marry her boyfriend and medical doctor, has lingering affection for Song Kunming, who is mentioned twice as her spouse of fate by fortunetellers. One day, she leaves for Italy in search of him after receiving a call from Song Kunming, who introduced himself as a friend of her would-be husband.

Peng Dali (Liao Pan) who Pang meets mistaking him as Song Kunming is not so attractive in appearance, when compared with Robert Downey Jr. from the original movie. However, contrast to his appearance, Peng approaches Pang by banking on his internal charm and sincerity.

Other interesting things to see in the movie are beautiful sceneries of Italy. Sceneries of the Castello Sforzesco Castle in Milan, the statue of Giuseppe Faribaldi, San Michele Basilica in Lucca, and cityscape in Firenze appear in the movie. The images of the characters who are creating episodes against such backdrops seem to be typical in movies and pictorials in themselves.

However, these are the only elements of charm the movie has to offer. There are not many other things to see, except the attractive look of Tang Wei and Italian hotspots. The story of Pang Yuan, who is fooled and instantly falls in love with Peng Dali, who introduces himself as Song Kunming, is not very persuasive at best as well.
