Star jazz musicians who have rarely performed in Seoul and Jarasum will delight jazz fans in Daegu.

The Daegu International Jazz Festival, which opened on Tuesday will run until Saturday. Marking the 8th anniversary, the festival has increased the scale and opened its door to world’s top jazz musicians. Chris Potter, the member of Pat Metheny Band and one of the top-class saxophone players, and Jason Lindner (keyboardist) who performed together with Avishai Cohen and Mark Guiliana to present progressive jazz combining hip-hop and rock will perform between Thursday and Saturday. Mike Moreno (guitarist), Joe Locke (vibraphonist) and Jeb Patton (pianist) will jazz up the festival.

Korean musicians such as Shin Kwan-woong, Choi Seon-bae, Kim Soo-yeol, Nam Ye-ji, Kim Nam-hoon, Kim Miso, and Korean pop singers Insooni and Park Wan-kyu will entertain the festival visitors.
