In less than three hours since coming to the hospital, she gave birth to a 3.7 kilogram baby girl. Giving birth to a new baby normally brings with mothers major changes to their complexion, but it was different for her. In less than 10 hours, she left the hospital wearing a yellow flower-printed dress and her face was still fresh. Her daughter was unveiled to the public in just after some hours after birth, cuddled in her mother`s arms. The moment the newly born child went out of the hospital, she was still sleeping in peace even as people cheered and was in the flood of flashlights. She was called the "sleeping beauty."

It`s not a metaphorical expression. The baby girl is the great-granddaughter of the Queen of England and the loyal princess of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. She`s ranked No. 4 in succession to the throne after her grandfather Charles, the crown prince, and father Prince William and brother Prince George. The news of the new princess was posted on the Buckingham Palace gate and spread globally through the royal family twitter.

The whole country is excited over the princess` name. The prime candidate for the name of the princess is Charlotte, followed by Alice, Olivia, Victoria and Elizabeth. Charlotte is the female name of Charles and has long relationship with the royal family. The name was used to wife of King George III in the 18th century, and there were two King Charles and the current prince`s name is also Charles. Victoria and Elizabeth are familiar names for a queen. Queen Victoria who had led the golden age of the British Empire was in rein for the longest period (64 years) in England`s history. Queen Elizabeth II will break this record this September.

In July last year when Prince George was born, a new coined term "babynomics" appeared. This refers to the effects of royal babies on the economy. The "sleeping baby" is expected to have a consumption effect of 1.66 trillion won (1.54 U.S. billion dollars). Souvenirs will sell hot and the baby product brands that the princess uses will also see huge sales and advertising effects. The birth of the princess itself is the starting point in boosting the economy and raising national brand image. Many advanced countries endeavor to raise birth rate. Fertility rate in England is 1.9 babies. If the birth of the princess leads to a birth boom, the "sleeping baby" will become the biggest ambassador to boosting child birth.
