A Korean bakery chain introduced baguettes made with French wheat. Paris Baguette said on Thursday that it would release three types of baguettes made with French wheat – traditional baguettes, walnut and raisin baguettes and morning baguettes.

The baguettes will be made with flours produced from French grown wheat. They taste like baguettes in Paris with freshly milled flour, the bakery says. With low protein and high minerals, French wheat is suitable for making bread with a crispy crust such as baguettes and pain de campagne. Long fermentation makes the bread chewy with a deep flavor.

Paris Baguette introduced French wheat for the first time in Korea in May last year to make its bread taste like baguettes in France.
