The documentary “My Love, Don’t Cross That River” has placed top in box office results in the history of diversity films.

“Creative Communication SKY” which handles the promotion of the film, said the film surpassed 3.44 million moviegoers on Sunday afternoon and set a new record for box office receipts in diversity films. The previous top performer was the U.S. film “Begin Again,” which released in August, with an audience of 3.43 million.

“My Love, Don’t Cross That River” has also broken the box office receipt record previously held by “Old Partner” with 2.93 million moviegoers.
