Tadakazu Kimura, CEO of Asahi Shimbun, said in the company`s internal document that he would resign in the middle of November and take responsibility for false reports.

Kimura said in a posting on the company`s intranet last Friday, "I`ll officially announce my resignation in the mid-November." He also said that the company will have a new management team after an extraordinary shareholders` meeting and board of directors` meeting on Dec.5.

The CEO said that he would make clear his decision when he had a press conference apologizing for false reports in September on the Fukushima nuclear plant accident and Seiji Yoshida, who testified that many women in Jeju Island were forcefully recruited for comfort women for Japanese soldiers during World War II.
