The Kansas City Royals, the Cinderella of the 2014 Post Season, is taking the World Series race of the U.S. pro baseball to the final round of Game 7.

At the sixth game held at Kaufmann Stadium on Tuesday (local time), Kansas City rookie pitcher Yordano Ventura displayed quality pitching by allowing three hits, four strikeouts, and no run in seven innings, while its batters garnered seven runs in the second inning by banking on strong sense of concentration, which enabled the Kansas City Royals to crush the San Francisco Giants 10-0, and tie the overall tally of the race at three wins and three losses.

Prior to the game, Kansas City manager Ned Yost confidently said the race would reach the seventh game. As he predicted, Kansas City’s offense that had seemed hopeless at AT&T Park was apparently different at its home turf. Starting with starting batter Alex Gordon, 10 batters had eight hits to garner seven runs in the second inning, driving San Francisco’s starting pitcher Jacob Peavy, who allowed six hits and five runs during one and one third of an inning, to a loss early on. Through the first inning on the day, Kansas City had no run in 16 consecutive innings.

Game 7 will take place at the same venue at 9:07 a.m. on Wednesday (local time). Tim Hudson (San Francisco), who will start again after the third game, and Jeremy Guthrie are to stage their second duel.
