The Hyundai Kia Automotive Group put seven cars on top of China’s most recognized consumer quality satisfaction survey. Seven models such as Hyundai’s Verna, Mingtu, Tucson, Tucson ix and Kia’s K2, K3 and Sportage have topped the "2014 Consumer Quality Satisfaction Survey" released by China Association for Quality (CAQ), the nation`s two largest auto companies said on Sunday. This survey is the most highly recognized consumer satisfaction survey conducted by China Consumer Commission of CAQ, a Chinese government-affiliated agency.

This survey showed that Hyundai and Kia continued their traditional prowess in the compact and subcompact segments, which are on the highest demand and most competitive in Chinese vehicle market. Verna and K2 ranked jointly first with 80 points (out of 100) in the "compact segment over 70,000 yuan." Especially, analysts eval‍uate that K2 has established itself in the Chinese compact car segment by topping the consumer quality survey for three consecutive years since 2012.

In the SUV segment, which is rapidly growing in China, Hyundai and Kia stood out among competitors. Tucsan and Sportage jointly topped the list (scoring 80 points) in the "SUV segment between 100,000~150,000 yuan." Even though the Sportage is an old model, which has been discontinued in Korea, it has ranked first for three consecutive years. A Hyundai and Kia insider said, “As our group has been continuously developing strategic models with high marketability and quality competitiveness for the Chinese market at the right time, the sales volume has been increased and consumer satisfaction has been improved in China.”
