Sex doll mistaken as female corpse

A person was enjoying a picnic with his family near a temple in Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday when he noticed a surprising scene. In a waterway across the temple lied a dead body. He approached the scene and confirmed that it was a dead body and reported it to police.

Police arrived and saw the face and body, 145 centimeters tall, tied up with a jean fabric and blue tapes. They suspected it as murder case. There were 50 policemen there and tension mounted. The legs wore stockings and it appeared to be a woman and knee part bones were partially exposed. But tension soon changed to a sigh of relief.

According to police identification section, the corpse was a sex doll made by mimicking a female body. The doll, which has a touch similar to an actual person, started to be imported from Japan 10 years ago and is sold in adult products stores. It is also kept in prostitution houses or motels lending to men and receiving money.

A police source said, "The skin texture is made similar to that of an actual person that when the policeman touched it he mistook it for a human body."
