World Cup champ Klose retires from international football

Record holder for the most goals scored at the World Cup, Miroslav Klose (36), a striker in the Lazio team in the Italian Serie A, has announced his retirement from the German national team on Monday. Klose contributed to Germany뭩 fourth overall first place at the Brazil World Cup in 2014, and scored two more goals in Brazil, surpassing Brazilian Ronaldo뭩 (37, retired) record. The German striker netted 71 goals in a total of 137 international level matches, also passing the legendary Gerd Mller`s (69) record goal tally of 68.
