Hillary Clinton criticizes Obama over foreign policy
AUGUST 12, 2014 01:25
Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of state and a strong Democratic candidate for 2016 U.S. presidential election, started differentiating herself from the current government by sharply criticizing President Barack Obama뭩 diplomatic policies regarding the Iraq-Syria crisis.

In an interview published in The Atlantic Monthly Magazine`s Sunday edition, the former Secretary described that President Obama뭩 foreign policies as failure since it led to the rise of ISIS, the radical Islamic insurgent group. Especially, while mentioning the Syrian civil war, Clinton said, 밫he failure to help build up a credible fighting force of the people who were the originators of the protests against Assad뾲here were Islamists, there were secularists, there was everything in the middle뾲he failure to do that left a big vacuum, which the jihadists have now filled.

During the interview, Clinton said, "Great nations need organizing principles, and `Don`t do stupid stuff (DDSS)` is not an organizing principle." DDSS is a phrase that President Obama often uses to explain his administration뭩 foreign policies.

Clinton뭩 criticism over President Obama is dominantly viewed as a signal for preparation to run for the next presidential election. While having distance from President Obama whose approval rate is the record low at early 40 percent, Clinton몊 move seems to be intended to block out offensive criticism in advance.
