Avengers 2 staff fails to show courtesy to citizens
APRIL 03, 2014 01:14
밎et away from there, 밣lease detour. 밒t can disrupt filming.

Filming of the Hollywood blockbuster 밃vengers: Age of Ultron (Avengers 2) in Seoul, which started on Mapo Bridge last Sunday, resumed Wednesday morning. DMC World Cup Buk-ro street in Sangam-dong, Mapo district, was completely blocked. , Being packed with large-scale apartment complexes, middle and high schools and companies, unlike Mapo Bridge, this filming site was busy from early in the morning.

Traffic was blocked beginning at 6:00 a.m., and staffers clad in yellow jackets got busier preparing for filming. In tandem, citizens heading to work and school had to experience inconvenience. A woman who came out to see off her 11th grade daughter said, 밒 came to this bus stop because the one where she usually takes bus has been closed today, adding, 밃s they block traffic from 6 a.m., commuting to work or school is too difficult. Some students who walk to school instead of taking bus were also spotted. Since door-to-door curriers who deliver important shipments were also blocked, Lee, a 29-year-old office worker at a nearby company, had to walk 10 minutes to receive delivery by herself.

Compared with ordinary times, citizens thus faced significant inconvenience, but they generally said, 밒t is okay. They seem to feel that although it causes inconvenience to them, they can stand inconvenience to that extent. Unlike heated controversy online between those who support and oppose filming in Seoul, there was no need to worry about lack of sense of citizenship at filming sites.

What actually troublesome was rather rough behaviors of staff at the filming scene, who appeared to be excessively sensitive and even oppressive. When a citizen brought out his or her mobile phone, staff here and there would say 밺on뭪 take pictures. To citizens who cross the street without having any knowledge about traffic control, they yelled, 밆o not cross!, rather than giving friendly guidance.

Kim, 44, expressed regret, saying that 뱖hen I was shooting filming scenes with my mobile phone from a distance to commemorate when filming was underway on Mapo Bridge, I was pushed back by staff, which caused me to feel as if I became a criminal. Kim said, 밯hatever the reason, filming is actually causing inconvenience, right? adding, 밒 hope that staffers at filming sites take this into consideration when controlling filming sites.

Joss Whedon, director of 밃vengers 2, which is being filmed in Seoul amid broad support from citizens, and Jeremy Renner, who plays the Hawk Eye character in the movie, conveyed gratitude via their video messages. They said they are very grateful for allowing them to film in Seoul. Filming in the Mapo district will continue through 6 p.m. on Friday. Staffers should display whatever courtesy they can to express gratitude, living up to the cast뭩 expression of gratitude to citizens, who are willing to accept inconveniences.
