`Everything’s gonna be fine`

A survey found that Korean youths want to hear a message of hope on the first day of a new year.

In a survey of 1,000 Korean men and women in the teens, 10s and 20s conducted by Coca-Cola and Open Survey, a mobile research company, on Nov. 27 and 28, 19 percent of the respondents said they want to hear “Everything’s gonna be fine” on the first day of a new year. The message was selected by 16.7 percent of teenage respondents, 19.9 percent of the respondent in their 20s, and 20.5 percent of those in their 30s.

“Everything’s gonna be fine” was most selected by respondents (16.7 percent) as a message that they want to say to their friends on the first day of a new year. The percentage was particularly high among those in their 20s at 19.4 percent.

A source from Coca-Cola said, “The result seems to reflect young people’s wishes such as getting a job or getting married.”

Other than that, young people wanted to hear “I love you (12.0 percent),” “I’ll support you (10.8 percent),” “I believe you (9.1 percent),” and “You’re the best (8.7 percent).”
