Military tension is increasing on the Korean Peninsula. South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff warned North Korea in a statement Wednesday, “If North Korea carries out a provocation, we will sternly punish the origin, support forces and command forces of the provocation." This statement was a response to Pyongyang’s threat made Tuesday that included scrapping the 1953 armistice agreement. As the preparedness of South Korea`s full forces have been reinforced, K-1 tanks of the 11th Mechanized Infantry Division fire at Seungjin Training Camp in the city of Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province on Wednesday.
