Finding a suitable partner

“Battle of Solos,” a blind date event held at Yeouido Park in Seoul on Christmas Eve Monday, mostly sees men taking part. More than 1,000 singles were there, but the majority of them saw little luck due to an imbalance in female representation. Participants looking for their would-be partners comprised 700 men and 300 women according to a police estimate. The number of spectators exceeded 2,500, more than double that of official participants. A woman seen on the right in this picture is one of the organizers of the event.
