Hite Jinro Beverage on Sunday said it conducted a public survey on "words of year-end toasts" at year-end parties and found "For the New Year, when both you and I achieve success” was the most popular choice, with 29 respondents picking it.

Other popular toasts were “Let’s meet again with everlasting love,” “Communication, best of luck, and everything going all right,” and “Hoping that things will be achieved just as wished and intended” in the survey that polled more than 10,000 people and was conducted from Nov. 27 to Dec. 13.

By theme, words that expressed hope and luck wishes, such as “Zero sadness for singles and no longer single next year,” were the most common toasts at 31 percent. They were followed by words wishing good human relations such as “Let’s smile all the time when just passing by, encountering each other, and smile even intentionally” with 14 percent, and those on drinking culture 11 percent.
