A North Korean propaganda website on Wednesday blasted South Korea`s backlash against pro-North politicians and groups.

Uriminzokkiri said that under South Korea`s standard for labeling people as North Korea followers, even Park Geun-hye, the leading presidential hopeful of the ruling Saenuri Party, would have to "give up her dream of entering Cheong Wa Dae (the South Korean presidential office) and go to prison" because she "enjoyed her best luck" in a prior visit to Pyongyang.

Mentioning a "witch hunt" against certain politicians in the South, the site claimed that Seoul`s incoherent criticism against pro-Pyongyang politicians and groups would make former presidents "first-class followers" of North Korea.

On Monday, Pyongyang threatened to release what it said were flattering comments made by Saenuri Party contenders Park Geun-hye, Chung Mong-joon and Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Moon-soo when they visited North Korea in the past.
