Kim Yu-na to Bid Farewell to `James Bond` Program

Kim Yu-na`s fans will have just one chance to see her perform to the James Bond theme and Gershwin’s Concerto in F at the World Figure Skating Championships in Turin, Italy, the last competition of the season.

Figure skaters perform the same program in a season. World-class competitors like Kim can perform a maximum of six competitions a season.

This season, Kim took part in five tournaments, including two Grand Prix events, the Grand Prix final, the Winter Olympics and the world championships. Kim skipped the Four Continents Championships to devote herself to the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Kim has never used the same program again except as a junior. Using the same program involves no limitation but could not affect the impression on judges. Even at ice shows, Kim has never released her programs in advance and instead waits until competitions.

What program will Kim choose as her best program? “I like all programs,” she said. Kim has practiced almost a year to master one program. So much so that it will be difficult for her to rank her programs. She will return with her new program for next season.
