Pope Blesses Children

Pope Benedict XVI blesses children in traditional Korean costume while presiding over Christmas Eve Mass at St. Peters Basilica in Vatican City. It is a longstanding tradition that children in the traditional costumes of different countries attend Mass giving flowers to the statue of the baby Jesus every year. The pope appealed to the world to give up self-centeredness and stop all conflicts in his fifth Christmas Mass as pope.
