Pitcher Park Chan-ho is likely to leave the Philadelphia Phillies, the team’s general manager Ruben Amaro said yesterday.

In an interview with MLB.com, Amaro said Park is likely to sign with another team due to the wide gap in contract amount, adding the Phillies will find it difficult to keep him if no significant change comes over the next several days.

MLB.com said left-handed pitcher Scott Eyre, who became a free agent together with Park, is likely to stay with Philadelphia. Amaro also said Eyre is more likely to return than Park.

Park, 36, who is in Korea, had a record last season of 2-2 and 13 holds with an ERA of 2.52 in 38 appearances, raising his worth as a relief pitcher.

Philadelphia offered him a slight raise from the 2.5 million dollars it paid the pitcher this season, but Park is looking for a team that can offer him a starting position or better contract terms as a reliever.
