Members of the Nepalese Cabinet raise their hands yesterday in convening a ministerial meeting at a base camp on Mount Everest, which soars 5,250 meters above sea level. The Nepalese government assembled the “high mountain meeting” to publicize the melting of permanent snow at the Himalayas ahead of the Conference of the Parties under the U.N. Climate Change Convention in Copenhagen. At the meeting were a minister deemed healthy enough to scale the world`s highest mountain and Prime Minister Madhav Kumar (center), who is wearing an oxygen mask.
