Mothers Grief After 49 Years
Kim Byeong-ji, 96, rubs the tombstone of her son at the National Cemetery for the April 19th Revolution yesterday. Her wrinkled hand symbolically shows her grief over the past 49 years and Koreas tumultuous modern history. Her son was killed by gunshot while taking to a hospital student activists injured in the 1960 pro-democracy movement.
