On March 18, the air of spring is obvious in Maesil (plum) village in Da-am-myeon, Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province. Spring sunshine comes down warmly on jars in which sliced plums in soy sauce and soybean paste are being preserved. In Gwangyang, the Maehwa (prunus mume) Festival is open to everybody. This weekend will be warm and suitable for family picnics. According to the Meteorological Administration, the sky will be clear and the midday highs will be between 9-16℃ on March 19 and 20. It will be good to have outdoor activity.
