Popular singer`s rumored romance shakes up Korean cyberspace

Korea`s cyberspace was shaken up Wednesday by a news report that Jonghyun, a member of popular boy band SHINee, and actress Lee Yubi are in love with each other.

An Internet newspaper reported Wednesday that the two started off as friends but are currently dating.

However, their agencies denied the report, saying the two are only friends. It was not the first time that Jonghyn`s romantic relationship was reported. In 2010, he admitted that he was dating actress Shin Se-kyung, only to break up with her eight months later.

Internet users` attention then shifted to "Geonjeonji," a same-age club of singers who were born in 1990. Reportedly, the group`s members include Jonghyung, Lee Yubi, Kang Min-kyung of girl duo Davichi, Lee Jong-hyun of boy band CNBLUE, and Park Hyung-sik of boy band ZE:A.

Some fans of Jonghyun and SHINee plead them to stop going to the club, while some others acknowledged his rumored romance, saying Lee Yubi is pretty enough to to date him.
