Choo Shin-soo garners homer-like two-base hit

Choo Shin-soo of the Texas Rangers hit a two-base hit, and led his team to a third consecutive win.

In an away game against Oakland on Friday, Choo played second batter and right fielder, swung up the ball pitched by Chris Bassitt, the starting pitcher of the opponent team, with a runner on the second base with no out in the first inning, and hit his 30th double-base hit in this season. The hit struck the top of fence behind the right fielder, enabling Choo to garner an RBI. Choo, who secured an RBI for three consecutive days, had one hit from four times at bat, and posted a batting average of 0.270 for this season. He has had 72 RBIs in this season. As Texas had an 8-1 landslide win, Choo became the player who posted the finishing RBI for his game.
