A new teenager golf prodigy was born. It is Brooke Henderson (pictured) who turns 18 on Sept. 10.

The Canadian teenager golfer showed amazing performance to win the LPGA Cambia Portland Classic that ended on Sunday. Without the tour card for the golf tournament, she went through the Monday qualifying to enter the tournament. Henderson closed with a 3-under in the fourth round of the LPGA tour at Columbia Edgewater (Far 72) to finish at 21-under 267, the lowest total since the event started. The prodigy golfer won her first trophy in the LPGA tour, with 8 strokes ahead of Jang Hana (Korea), Pornanong Phatlum (Thailand) and Candie Kung (Tiwan) tied for second. Henderson became the third-youngest champion in LPGA Tour history at 17 years, 11 months and 6 days, after Lydia Ko (15 years, 4 months and 2 days) and Lexi Thompson (at 16 years, 7 months, 8 days). Henderson is the second player to win on the LPGA after going through Monday qualifying, after Laurel Kean who won the 2000 State Farm Classic.

Henderson, who turned into professional in December last year, couldn’t join the LPGA as a member under the 18-year-old rule for membership. She will earn a tour card for 2016 thanks to winning the Portland Classic. The teenager golfer made the top 5 at 4 out of 10 events this season. She earned USD 195,000 and has made USD 660,000, which puts her on the 14th place in earnings, if she were a LPGA member.
