Tiger Woods has become a tiger without a tooth. It does not mean he suffered a setback in performance, but he actually lost a tooth.

Woods made a surprise visit to Cortina d`Ampezzo in Italy, the venue of the FIS (International Ski Federation) World Cup, on Monday. He went there to root for his girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn.

Vonn achieved her 62nd FIS World Cup win, the most in the history of the World Cup, on Sunday`s downhill. In Monday’s competition, she acquired the gold medal with a time of 1:27:03 in the supergiant slalom category, bringing the total of her career wins to 63 on the day.

The accident happened during the award ceremony, however. According to Mark Steinberg, the agency for Woods, a reporter who was rushing to the stage with a video camera on his shoulder, turned around all of a sudden, causing the camera to hit Woods’ mouth and break one of his teeth. Woods, with one of his front teeth removed, ended up receiving a flurry of flashlight thereafter.

Woods, who suffered a slump last year, will play his first match of this season at the PGA tour’s Phoenix Open that will kick off on Thursday next week. Woods would probably hope that the accident proves to be a rite of exorcism.
