Kim Hyo-joo to debut LPGA via Honda Thailand in February

Korea female golfer Kim Hyo-joo`s debut stage at the 2015 LPGA tour will be Honda LPGA Thailand.

The event, four-day tour from February 26 next year in Thailand, grants qualifications for players who ranked in the top list in terms of last year LPGA tour award money. By this standard, Kim is not qualified since she was not a member for 2014. However, the host decided to invite Kim noting that she won at the Avian Championships, one of major LPGA tours.

Kim will go to Thailand early next month for field training. She had a LASEK surgery for vision correction last week and is staying home for recovery. She can rest sufficiently before departing for Thailand.

Kim will share lodging and golf course with her role model Shin Ji-ae in Thailand, which will help her enhance training performance. Former national golf team coach Han Yeon-hee who is also Kim`s teacher said, "(Kim) couldn`t go through normal exercise for more than a month since it`s year-end season. She will first start with physical strengthening and short games."
