Chi-Maek (fried chicken + beer), one of the Koreans’ most favorite late-night snack and representative snack in the baseball park, has landed in golf clubs. In the first round of KLPGA tour YTN Volvic Women’s Open held in Kosca CC (Far 72, 6,599 yards) in Eum-seong, North Chungcheong Province on Sep. 12, many galleries enjoyed fried chicken and beer while watching the competition.

Chi-Maek has made its debut to the golf competitions as increasing number of fried chicken and beer companies try to utilize popularity of women’s golf games as a venue for marketing of their products. During the tour, BBQ Chicken provides 3 pieces of boneless fried chicken to all galleries for free. OB Beer provides one canned beer to all paid galleries without charge.

In the Kyochon Honey Ladies’ Open last month, the sponsor Kyochon F&B operated ‘Chi-Maek Zone’ to provide 10,000 fried chickens to galleries and participants during the game. Hite Beer provided a glass of draft beer for free.
