Korea`s top judoka claims Grand Prix title in Germany
FEBRUARY 19, 2012 22:08
Korea`s top judoka Wang Ki-chun has won the men`s 73-kilogram title at the Dusseldorf Grand Prix in Germany. Ranked No.2 in the world, he defeated Nyam-Ochir Sainjargal of Mongolia in the final Saturday to clinch victory.

With his latest win, Wang has swept five straight international competitions in building momentum for the Summer Olympics in London this year.

He claimed the gold at the World Masters Tournament in Kazakhstan Jan. 14, but had to snub the Paris Grand Slam and Austria World Cup due to a shoulder injury he suffered in the Masters final. He rebounded, however, to demonstrate his solid leadership anew at an international competition after a one-month hiatus.
