N. Korea Loses Friendly to Paraguay, 1-0

North Korea`s soccer team lost to Paraguay, 1-0, Sunday in an exhibition match in Nyon, Switzerland.

Both teams played a tight game until Nam Song Chol was called for handball with just five minutes left. Roque Luis Santa Cruz (Manchester City) connected on the ensuing penalty kick to give the South Americans the win.

North Korea will play in its first World Cup next month in 44 years.

Starters for the North included Hong Yong Jo, Mun In Guk, Ri Jun Il, Pak Nam Chol and Kim Yong Jun.
