Former White House intern Monica Lewinsky who had an affair with then President Bill Clinton spoke out about the affair at an open lecture event. With the so-called "zippergate" scandal once again gaining the spotlight, the camp of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is weighing on whether to run for president in 2016, is on its toes.

On Monday, Lewinsky gave a speech at the Forbes` Under 30 Summit, saying, ""Sixteen years ago, fresh out of college, a 22 year old intern in the White House -- and more than averagely romantic -- I fell in love with my boss in a 22-year old sort of way. It happens. But my boss was the president of the United States.."

"Now I deeply regret it for many reasons, not the least of which is that people were hurt. And that is never okay," the former White House intern said. "In 1998, as you can imagine, there was a media frenzy. Overnight, I went from being a completely private figure to a publicly humiliated one. I was Patient Zero."
