George W. Bush in shirtsleeves is getting a warm welcome in Fushe Kruje, a village near Tirana, in Albania. It is the first time in history a U.S. president has visited the country. Bush shook hands and hugged his screaming admirers, one of whom managed to rub his head, which is the country’s traditional way of greeting. The people in Albania, of whom 90% are Albanians, are grateful for the U.S.’s help in the Kosovo civil war.
