West Asia Flooding Causes 1,500 Deaths

A neighborhood in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where 40 percent of the country is under water due to floods. Children who do not have anything to eat or could not wash are holding up buckets and plates to receive relief food. The low-income shantytowns and the central downtown area of Dhaka, where some 10 million people live, are all under water. The floods, which started in mid June, killed 1,500 people and caused some 50 million flood victims in West Asian countries.
