A blast from car bombs at the entrance of “Green Zone” (or a safety zone) in the heart of Baghdad, Iraq leaves at least 11 killed and about 40 injured on July 14. Around 9:20 in the morning of July 14, two cars came to an inspection point at the entrance of Green Zone, and one of the cars exploded when the security personnel approached. The Green Zone houses the headquarters of Iraq’s interim government as well as the British and American embassies, and was renamed as the “International Zone” after the transfer of authority.
