President Park hopes for `economic recovery` on Chuseok holidays

President Park posted a Facebook message for Chuseok holidays stressing the national economy on her Facebook page on Monday afternoon. President Park wrote, “There is a saying that a dream comes true when all people dream of the same dream. I hope that everybody wishes for this country’s economy and the Korean people’s happiness so that the dream can come true.” In addition, the president added, “How was your Chuseok today? Did you make a wish to the full moon?” President Park also posted her picture in a sky blue blouse and a long grey pleated skirt, leaning against the stone bridge in the presidential office.

President Park’s message seems to show her strong willingness to vitalize the economy. She posted a video clip on her Facebook page on Friday, just before Chuseok holidays began, “I’ll do my best to revive our economy and make a country where everybody can live a happy life.”

President Park is said to have focused on developing ideas on state affairs at the presidential office during the holidays without a special schedule outside the office. The president is said to have visited the Seoul National Cemetery where her parents – late former President Park Chung-hee and his wife Yuk Young-soo – with a small number of her bodyguards during the holidays.
