Whale shark released back into sea
SEPTEMBER 07, 2012 05:55
A whale shark that had been protected at Aqua Planet Jeju, Asia’s largest marine science museum located in Seongsan, Jeju Island after being caught in a fishing net, is released back into the sea near Seongsanpo on Thursday. A ship carries the mammal along with zookeepers to the place where the sea predator will be released (top). A large crane lifts the whale, which carries a gadget that sends out biological signals, to release it into the sea 100 meters deep (bottom). The same whale is shown swimming in a tank at the museum in August (right).
