The Seoul Supreme Prosecutors` Office questioned Sunday three or four employees of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, or Nonghyup, and IBM Korea in its investigation into a paralyzing glitch in Nonghyup`s banking network.

Prosecutors questioned them about Nonghyup’s servers around the time of the system breakdown late Tuesday and gaining access to the bank’s main server. Several of the people summoned were authorized to access the banking network, with one having the “super root,” or the highest level of access to the main server.

After analyzing closed-circuit TV recordings and entrance pass information, the number of suspects was narrowed to 20 people. They either worked at or entered the office where a laptop computer that processed an external command causing the crash was found.

Beginning this week, prosecutors will question them on their whereabouts at the time of the crash. Nonghyup’s banking network has still not seen full recovery as of Sunday.
