World’s Largest Sun-Tracking Solar Plant

The world’s largest sun-trailing solar power plant will begin running tomorrow in Jido Village, Shinan County, South Jeolla Province, a facility covering an area equal to 93 soccer fields. The plant will generate more than 35,000 megawatts to supply electricity to more than 10,000 households every year. The sun-trailing method is at least 15 percent more efficient in generation than the traditional fixed method, since the concentrating module moves and follows the sun.
