“Virtual Reality (VR) devices will become universal platform like today’s smartphones in the near future,” said Oculus VR CEO Palmer Luckey.

When asked about the future of VR, Palmer Luckey (pictured), the co-founder of the American virtual reality technology company, replied, “When I talked about smartphones with people from my parents’ generation a few years ago, they couldn’t understand. But now, parents are all using smartphones.” Luckey is now visiting Korea to attend the "Unite Seoul 2015," a global conference for developers at Grand Intercontinental Hotel in southern Seoul.

Luckey became a star at the "the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo" in held in Los Angeles, one of the top three game fairs in the world, with a VR headset that he had developed at the age of 20. In July 2012, he found Oculus VR with Brendan Iribe, CEO of Oculus. The company has raised 2.4 million U.S. dollars through cloud funding. In March last year, Oculus VR was sold to Facebook for 2.3 billion dollars.
