Samsung unveils beautiful new Galaxy S6

In a bid to reclaim the throne of global smartphone leader, Samsung Electronics has finally unveiled the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy 6 Edge. During the Samsung Galaxy "Unpack" event at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona on Sunday, Samsung Electronics CEO Shin Jong-kyun called the phone the “most beautiful” and “most advanced” on the market, adding it was reworked "from the ground up."

The new phones received heated responses. "Reponses from major global telecom operators who confirmed the product in advance have beat our expectations," said a high-ranking Samsung source.

Foreign media highly praised the new devices. Wall Street Journal said they are the most beautiful among Samsung`s devices, noting a journalist review that said, "When it comes to its hardware, I`m now a believer. When it comes to its software, I see the efforts."

“Samsung is moving in a beautiful and powerful new direction, and has indeed created something that looks and feels new and different,” said New York Times.

Samsung Electronics share prices surged Monday, rising 4.86 percent to close at 1.42 million won (1,292 U.S. dollars), the first time to top 1.4 million won (1,272 dollars) since January 27, this year.
