Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun-hee and his only son Lee Jae-yong, who is the company`s vice chairman, have ranked No. 1 and 2, respectively, in the list of most wealthy people in Korea.

The father has been at the first place for a long time, while the junior Lee, whose rank was fifth in September, has jumped to second after the initial public offering of Samsung SDS.

According to the World`s 400 Richest People released Tuesday by Bloomberg, Chairman Lee has become the world`s 92nd richest person with fortunes reaching 12.2 billion U.S. dollars as of November 27. He is the only Korean to be in top 100.

Lee Jae-yong with 6.2 billion dollars has ranked 224th. He has advanced to within top 300 after his stakes in Samsung SDS soared after its listing on November 14. He has an 11.25 percent stake in Samsung SDS. He has become the second richest person in Korea after his father.

Chairman Suh Kyung-bae of AmorePacific has wealth of 6.1 billion dollars, ranking 229th. He has advanced to within top 200 last month to rank second place in Korea, but declined to third place as the company`s share price declined. Hyundai Motor Chairman Chung Mong-koo ranked 245th with 5.8 billion dollars of wealth.
