Korean rapper Psy (photo), who is now dabbling in advertising, has been selected as a model for Jill Stuart New York, a high-end contemporary brand based in the U.S.

LG Fashion, which imports the brand to Korea, said Monday, “We’ll unveil a new product line that covers contemporary American style with wit by using Psy, who made a big hit with `Gangnam Style.`”

The rapper has become the most popular model in the Korean ad industry after securing deals with Upl Style (LG Uplus), Condition Style (CJ CheilJedang) and Zipel Style (Samsung Electronics).

Jill Stuart New York prefers a tall and thin male model, but its headquarters in New York was positive over using the relatively chubby and short Psy. The brand said he can highlight the brand concept of wit though he lacks a good physique that can make clothes beautiful.

LG will release a music video under the concept “Dress Classy, Dance Cheesy,” a phrase he told to singer Britney Spears while teaching her the horseriding dance on the U.S. talk show "Ellen" Tuesday. The company will showcase “Gangnam & New York Style.”
