“Moon Mu Dae Wang,” the next-generation Korean destroyer (KDX-Ⅱ), was delivered to the Navy on September 30, a day before Armed Forces Day. Hyundai Heavy Industries Corporation held a hand-over ceremony of a self-designed 4500-ton level destroyer in Ulsan with the naval officials attending. The destroyer is 150 meters long, 17.4 meters wide, and 7.3 meters high. Three hundred people can board, and its speed is good for 29 knots (54 km/h). The destroyer is capable of executing anti-air, anti-submarine, and anti-ground operations, and its up-to-date stealth technology, which can reduce radio waves, infrared rays, and noise, was introduced to the destroyer for the first time in Korea.
