The military authorities started investigating on Wednesday after receiving report that a small flying object similar to the small unmanned aerial vehicle from North Korea was found on Mount Cheonggye, only to find it a door for a mobile toilet whose color is similar to the North’s drone.

According to a source at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at around 8:00 a.m. on the day, police received a report from a resident who discovered a flying object similar to the North’s small drone, which had been discovered recently. The resident reportedly spotted the object at a site some 40 to 50 meters inside barbed wires of a military base while hiking with three colleagues on the mountain around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. After taking a picture of the object with his mobile phone, the resident reported it to police by submitting the photo.

Having been informed of the report from police, the military authorities formed an investigation team and urgently deployed it to the site. The object that was collected at the site was a plastic door for a mobile toilet, which measured 130 centimeters long and 60 centimeters wide. Blue paint coated on the door was peeled off on many spots.
