Forbes released the list of The World`s Highest-Paid Female Athletes 2014 based on their prize money and advertisement income from June 2013 to June 2014 on its online edition on Wednesday (Korea time). Kim Yu-na has earned an estimated 16.3 million dollars and ranks fourth overall.
Her income increased after retirement. The figure skating star ranked fifth with 9.7 million dollars in the same survey in 2010.
Russias Maria Sharapova ranks top in the list with 24.4 million dollars followed by Li Na of China, who is also a tennis player (23.6 million dollars), and Serena Williams of the U.S. (22 million dollars).
