An album of unheard songs of the late King of Pop will be released next month.

Sony Music Entertainment said Monday that Epic Records and Jackson`s family will globally release Jackson`s new album "Xscape" on May 13.

The album lists eight new unheard songs and is the second regular album to be revealed following "Michael (10 unheard songs)" after his death. Epic Records Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid unearthed the songs from Jackson`s archive after approval from Jackson`s family.

Manager Lee Se-hwan of Sony Music Korea said, "When sequestering himself from the public (due to the child molester scandal), Jackson worked on 50-100 songs that can be put into album at his home studio," adding, "Considering that the album cover featuring a spaceman-like mood and the presence of producers, the new album is likely to be full of future-oriented electronics sound."

Sony Music said, "The list of producers includes global hitmakers Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate and John McClain... (We) retooled the production to add a fresh, contemporary sound that retains Jackson’s essence and integrity."
