Reigning Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu-na of South Korea arrived in Russia`s Sochi, the site of the 2014 Winter Olympics, on Wednesday with better physical conditions than four years ago. Despite the 17-hour flight, she looked bright.

Kim has high chances of her second straight gold medal in the ladies` singles event of the Winter Olympics, as she has been upgraded in every aspect. "If the perfect physical condition is 100, Kim Yu-na is at about 98," said Kim`s doctor Cho Sung-yeon. "She is in a better physical condition now than during the Vancouver Winter Olympics."

Her physical strength has improved despite concerns raised early this season. "We paid a lot of attention to her physical strength," Cho said. "She had some issues with her physical strength after sustaining an injury on the top of her right foot last September. But now she is in a better condition than four years ago." Her muscular strength has improved, while her flexibility remains the same as four years ago.
