North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reportedly boasted that he would fix his country`s flag at South Korea`s presidential office Cheong Wa Dae, a North Korean document showed Thursday.

According to the North Korean military`s internal document obtained by sources on the North, Kim made the remarks while ordering the North Korean military to prepare for "reunification by force." He also called for a "do-or-die war against the enemies" and "thorough preparations" for reunification. Another source said, "Although it has yet to be confirmed exactly when Kim made the remarks or the document was created, it is likely that he did so sometime between February and May, when the inter-Korean tensions reached a peak.

Nam Jae-joon, director of Seoul`s National Intelligence Service, told the National Assembly`s intelligence committee that Kim frequently boasts "reunification within three years." Multiple sources on the North also said, "Kim Jong un has the ambition for reunification by force and talks about reunification within three years."

The South Korean government is focusing its analysis on how Kim`s hostile remarks would affect Pyongyang`s policy and military strategy toward Seoul.

Some South Korean officials say it is unlikely that Kim Jong Un will act out his warlike remarks. One official noted that many observers do not see at the moment any sign indicating that Kim is about to make any bellicose move, although the North Korean military is moving separately.

The North Korean media have recently been reporting intensively on Kim Jong Un`s visits to entertainment facilities such as a water park and a horse-riding club, suggesting Pyongyang`s intention to convey a message that Kim is concentrating on improving North Koreans` livelihood and economy.
