Google, the world’s largest search engine, has been criticized worldwide for its decision to censor politically sensitive topics such as the Tienanmen massacre, Tibet, Falun Gong, and human rights in its Chinese search service. Google explained such measures were inevitable in order to strengthen its position in China.
